African Summer for Academic Development
The African Summer for Academic Development is an immersive academic residency developed in strategic partnership with the University of Witwatersrand, bringing HBCU students to Johannesburg for rigorous coursework, cultural engagement, and community-based learning. Asad has also proudly served the National Association of Black Social Workers for the past three years, having designed their international professional development program. His work has connected him with distinguished institutions including North Carolina A&T, Howard University, Xavier University of Louisiana, Morgan State University, Coppin State University, North Carolina Central University, Tuskegee University, and more.
